Here are some photos of the "Ethan" Fire that burned several thousand acres near the mountains only 2 miles from our home. The fire was named after the AZ Incident Commander's son, whom he was planning to spend the day with when the fire started. The fire was the result of a lightining strike during a very brief thunderstorm one afternoon late last month. Needless to say, the boys didn't go outside at all that week because the air quality was so bad due to the smoke. We could smell the burning cedar for days.
